India’s team for the T20 World Cup to be held in June has not been decided yet, but captain Rohit Sharma says that he knows 10 players who will be a part of that team.

The series against Afghanistan was India’s last series in this format before the World Cup. Through this, Rohit and Virat Kohli have returned to the T20 format after 14 months.

Young players like Shivam Dubey also performed brilliantly, on the basis of which India won the series 3-0.

Speaking to Geo Cinema

Rohit said that some talented players may not make it to the World Cup team but this happens in professional sports.

He said, ‘When we were playing the ODI World Cup, we tried many boys in T-20, they played well but when the team was announced, some were left out.

It was disappointing for him, but our job is to keep everything clear to the team.

He said, ‘In the pool of 25-30 players, everyone knows what is expected from them, we have not decided the team for the T20 World Cup, but in the mind we know who will be the 8-10 players who will be selected.

Will go.’ Most of the matches will be held in West Indies where the pitches are slow. Rohit said, ‘There are slow pitches in West Indies, so the team will have to be selected accordingly.

Rahul Bhai and I have maintained clarity in the team. From captaincy I have learned that you cannot keep everyone happy. You have to focus on the needs of the team.

Rohit, who could not even open his account in the first two matches, scored a record fifth T20 century in the third match.

He said, ‘I was working hard in the net. You have to play some shots to put pressure on the bowlers.

When the ball takes spin and you cannot play straight, you have to do something new. I have practiced the reverse sweep a lot and have hit this shot in the Test also.
