Stock Market Crash: The stock market started trading in the red and within a few minutes of the market opening, the BSE Sensex fell by a huge 1000 points and reached the level of 72,200. Nifty also opened with a loss of more than 200 points.
The stock market had a very bad start on Wednesday and both the market indices Sensex-Nifty crashed with the opening. Bombay Stock Exchange’s 30-share Sensex opened with a fall of 755 points and slipped by more than 1000 points within a few minutes,
while Nifty is also in a bad condition and opened with a fall of more than 200 points.
Sensex collapsed as soon as the market opened
Due to weak global markets, the Indian stock market opened in the red on Wednesday.
Sensex started trading at 72,373.49 with a decline of 755.28 points or 1.03 percent and reached the level of 72,200 within a few minutes.
Till the time of writing the news, it was trading with a decline of more than 800 points at 9.41 am.
Nifty opened with a loss of 200 points
Like Sensex, Nifty also had a bad start and opened with a fall of 203.50 points or 0.92 percent.
After opening at the level of 21,647.25, it continues to fall further and till the time of writing this news, it has slipped by 211 points and is trading at the level of 21,821.30.
With the start of trading in the stock market, about 574 shares registered a rise, while 1836 shares started trading with a decline. HDFC Bank shares fell the most and fell by more than 5 percent.
