The Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup is going to start in South Africa from Friday (January 19). The opening match of the World Cup will be held between hosts South Africa and West Indies on January 19. The final match is to be played on 11 February in Benoni.
U-19 World Cup 2024: The ICC Under-19 Men’s World Cup 2024 is going to be held in South Africa from Friday (January 19). This World Cup itself has given many stars to the cricket world.
Stars like Yuvraj Singh (2000), Rohit Sharma (2006), Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja (2008), Rishabh Pant and Ishan Kishan (2016), Shubman Gill (2018) shone in this tournament.

But there are many who could not repeat the success at the junior level at the senior level, which include Unmukt Chand, Ravikant Shukla, Manish Pandey, Yash Dhull and Kamlesh Nagarkoti.
All eyes will be on the Indian team, whose captain is Uday Saharan of Punjab. India has to play Bangladesh in the first match on Saturday.
Apart from India and Bangladesh, America and Ireland are also in Group A. This tournament will continue till 11 February, when the final will be played in Benoni.
16 teams have been divided into four groups and the top three teams from each group will reach the Super Six, in which 12 teams will be divided into two pools.
The top two teams will play the semi-finals which will be held in Benoni on 6th and 8th February.
The Indian team has come to South Africa after several camps at the National Cricket Academy and has played only two tournaments (Asia Cup and triangular series in South Africa).
In the Asia Cup, India lost in the semi-finals in which Bangladesh defeated them by four wickets. After that, however, India remained undefeated and won the triangular series in South Africa, in which Afghanistan was the third team.
India and South Africa became joint winners due to the final being washed out due to rain.
